The Great Gobbledy Goop

In a land where the sky tastes like pickle pie,
Lived a bouncy old elephant named Sir Flutterby.
He danced on his trunk with a flibberty-floo,
While purple bananas sang "How-do-you-doo!" 

The giggling giraffe wore polka-dot socks,
And juggled six pancakes on top of a fox.
The fox wore a hat made of strawberry cheese
It sneezed out confetti and tiny pink bees! 

The wibbly-wobbly hippopotamus hopped,
On a pogo-stick turtle that never once stopped.
They zoomed through the clouds with a zoomity-zing,
Chasing a rainbow that liked to play pong-ping! 

The monkeys made muffins from moonbeams and glue,
Then slurped them with spoons that were purple and blue.
A dinosaur baby in polka-dot pants
Played hide-and-seek with a family of ants. 

So if you feel grumpy or just a bit blue,
Put on your silliest left-footed shoe.
Spin three times fast with a giggly-goop,
And join the wild party in Gobbledy Soup! 

(Now clap your hands and wiggle your nose—
The poem’s not over till everyone glows!)

'I am hungry' said Jack

'Me too' said Sam 

'Let's have cake'

'Yes let's have cake'

'That's not really enough,' said Jack.

'Let's have cake and chips'

"Okiedokie,' said Sam, 'Let's have cake and chips.

'Hmm,' said Jack, 'that won't fill me up. Let's have cake, chips and cheese.'

'Oh yes,' said Sam, 'let's have cake, chips, and cheese.'

'I am just not sure that would fill me up,' said Jack

'Let's have cake, chips, cheese, and crisps.'

'Oh, yes,' said Sam. 'Let's have cake, chips, cheese, and crisps.'

'Well, there may be room for more,' said Jack. 'Let's have cake, chips, cheese, crisps, and Gummy Bears.'

'Ooooh yesssss,' said Sam, 'let's have cake, chips, cheese, crisps, and Gummy Bears.'

'Well, we may still have a bit of room, my tummy is very big,' said Jack. 'Let's have cake, chips, cheese, crisps, Gummy Bears, and....ice cream!'

'Yey!' Shouted Sam. 'Let's have have cake, chips, cheese, crisps, Gummy Bears, and....ice cream!'

'Thing is,' said Sam, 'there is one more thing I really like. Let's have cake, chips, cheese, crisps, Gummy Bears, ice cream, and....pizza!'

'What a perfect feast,' said Sam. 'Let's have cake, chips, cheese, crisps, Gummy Bears, ice cream and....pizza!'

Then Mum walked in. 'Time for bed boys, here is your supper.' 

Mum was carrying a tray with two mugs of hot coco and a plate of homemade biscuits.

'What sort of biscuits are they Mum?' Asked the boys excitedly. 'Oh I made your favourites,' said Mum.

'Cake, chips, cheese, crisps, Gummy Bears, ice cream, and....pizza biscuits!' 

What a perfect day.
